Rooted Connections is an innovative after-school enrichment program that reconnects middle school students with themselves, one another, the natural world, and their communities. It's been shown that these relationships form the foundation for confidence, resilience, belonging, and lifelong growth.
Each 8-week session is intentionally designed to go alongside and enhance the school year through meaningful outdoor experiences. Students will explore, create, collaborate, solve real-world challenges, practice stewardship, and reflect on experiences that shape their character and purpose.
We are not simply moving the classroom outdoors or offering another extracurricular activity. We are cultivating a community where curiosity, responsibility, creativity, and meaningful relationships thrive. Every experience is designed to help students grow into capable, compassionate, and confident young people.
Rooted Connections exists because today's students are asking for something different. We believe the future of education is rooted in strong relationships, purposeful experiences, and learning beyond four walls. When young people reconnect with nature, their communities, and themselves, they discover not only where they belong, but who they are becoming.
